Toronto Women’s Run Series
Women Set The Pace® at the Toronto Women’s Run Series.
This year, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have had to find new and creative ways for us to come together for the running season.
We kicked off our 2020 season by launching the Toronto Women’s Virtual Half Marathon/10k/5k in May. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions we have transitioned both our August 10k/5k and October 8k/5k events into virtual runs this year.
A virtual run means you can complete your run on your own and you can run anytime, anywhere, as long as you practice physical distancing. Stay healthy and help #flattenthecurve solo in our virtual run.
We are committed to creating opportunities for women to be healthy and active in an inspiring, fun, and friendly environment. You can decide to make the races as fun, recreational or as competitive as you want whether it be virtually or in person.
Our 2020 fundraising goal is to raise $40,000 for kids and their families living with cancer. This year, more than ever, we are committed to raising essential dollars for the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO). Please join us on our journey to make this happen!
Our races are very popular and we hope you will join us this year at our virtual start lines – and set your own pace on run day.
We are looking ahead into 2021 when we will all be able to hopefully safely come together, collectively set the pace and run/walk through Sunnybrook Park and the Toronto Park system, in the heart of the city, at one of Toronto’s most popular race series and one of the largest women’s race series in the country.
The volunteers were far and away the best I have seen at a race. They were incredibly upbeat and encouraging… especially at a few crucial points for me!!!
I think that this has quickly become a premier event: lovely course, awesome organization, great perks (chocolate and burly men!), unique “medal…” Thank you so much for putting this together. It’s been a long time since Toronto had a women’s event of this calibre. (Brooks in the ’80’s?) and it was worth the wait!
Just wanted to say thanks for a great race experience today! I loved everything…the course was nice and scenic, the medal/necklace was unique and lovely, the chocolate and firefighters were a nice touch…and the race kit was one of the best I’ve received. You even managed to get the weather to cooperate. Well done, I look forward to doing the race again next year!
Please consider fundraising for our exclusive charitable partner, the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO) and help us raise more than $40,000 in 2020.
Since we started the series in 2009, we have raised over $400,000 for POGO, thank you for helping make that happen.
